About Me

My love of nature shows in my work. My subjects range from snails to tigers and anything in between, including humans. The changing colours and shapes of living things are a constant source of inspiration.

Much of my work is on a small scale and my preferred medium is oil.
I also use metal leaf and find it compliments the fine detail of the painted subject.
Silver, gold, copper, and other mixed alloys are used to add different and contrasting textures to the work. The reflective surfaces mean the painting’s appearance alters in changing light.

Charcoal

Charcoal is another favorite and my most common sketching medium. It’s great for creating small scale images of animals and I do a lot of commissions in it.
